Mid-term Principal's report

The two school captains were also welcomed to their new and important roles with our school: Hailey F and Dominic W. These two Pathways students were voted as captains by their classmates, and what great choices they made. Our SRC reps and school captains will take the lead in giving all our students a voice in the way their school works. Students on the SRC help us to showcase and model our school expectations: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be a Learner.

Sixteen of our Pathways students have signed up for School-Based Apprenticeship Training this year. The SBAT scheme requires VCAL students to undertake part-time employment, gaining valuable hands-on experience of a trade or service, within a school context. These students embody our school expectation of “being a learner” by undertaking structured training and employment program within a school-based program.

As a school-wide positive behaviours school, we encourage our students to achieve their best through a relentless focus on acknowledging academic, social and personal achievements. We recognise and reward many of these successes at our weekly school assembly. Parents and friends are always welcome to join us for these celebrations every Wednesday at 9am.
